I love cats, tea, and all things food. In this picture, I was most likely thinking of all three. When I'm not eating, I'm pursuing a degree in the Fine Arts and traveling around the world.

 

'La Petite Assiette' means 'The Little Plate' in french- 'Ti Lasyet' in my mother-tongue, Mauritian Creole (a spell change to 'asiyette' was inevitable...). I use this blog to share stories, travels, and recipes. From well-known Mauritian dishes to revamped Western classics, you'll find it all here. 

 

Coming from a conservative Muslim background, I hope to provide some honest insight into what it really means to be a young Muslim, female, and artist.

 

I hope that both you and I will treat this site as a space to learn, relax, inspire, heal, and grow.
